Southern California - Bordering the California Desert to the west, the Southern California region is home to Los Angeles, San Diego, Disneyland, and miles of famous beaches. San Joaquin Valley - Located northwest of the Desert, this area is the breadbasket of California and home to a large percentage of America's fruit and vegetable supply. In Arizona, the river passes Lee's Ferry, an important crossing for early explorers and settlers and since the early 20th century the principal point where Colorado River flows are measured for apportionment to the seven U.S. and two Mexican states in the basin. Downstream, the river enters Marble Canyon, the beginning of the Grand Canyon, passing under the Navajo Bridges ⁃ location: Rocky Mountains, Colorado, United States.

The strike of a golf club, the hum of the wind buffeting towering sand dunes, the splash of a dive into a perfect pool. The desert region is a sensory feast. Following winter rains, springtime wildflowers paint the desert with colour. Late winter rains have provided enough water to see many areas in the desert Southwest provide us with a lot of color and a wide variety of beautiful wildflower blooms.
